Wae is Back to School!

I have to congratulate Wae for making the best decision by going back to school. He enrolled last Sunday at UiTM for the Mass Communication program which is related to his career at RTM as an assistant Producer for news broadcast. Mady and I accompanied Wae during the registration day. I also bumped into an old friend Adam Mukhriz who is working at PKNS Petaling jaya and also a part-time DJ at FMKL in Wisma Radio Angkasapuri. He also sending a friend who is continuing his studies in UiTM.

There is not even one cafe was opened in UiTM on that day and there are parents and children who were starving. Just imagine the process was long and the queue was even longer. Wae finish his registration almost at 2.30pm.

University of East London Board Meeting

I was busy the entire week for the UEL Board Meeting. With many unexpected events such as power black-out which I have to convince Vic that is wasn't intentional! we finally went through the Board Meeting quite smoothly. We conduct the meeting and lunch together at the Seri Melaka Restaurant in Amcorp Mall. The food is really nice. Those present were Prof David, Roy Palmer, Mike Griffith, Vic, Thiba, Kohila, Gee, Fariha and myself. We will be seing them again in September.

Uncle Tuan Hj Selamat Idrus passed away peacefully at 84

Uncle Tuan Hj Selamat Idrus passed away peacefully on Wednesday 4 June 2008 at almost 3.45am. Many UPM staff came to pay their last respect. That also includes friends, families, sons and daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

It has been quite a while since my last visit to the UPM Cemetery. It looks serene and peaceful. Since it is located up on the hill next to Faculti Bahasa Moden ( if I am not mistaken ); it overlooks the entire UPM campus. The air rushes in and I could smell the green , fresh air of UPM.

When Abang Murni was reciting the Talkin, everyone was listening tentatively. My mind was wandering too thinking of my future destiny. Fahme was listening tentatively too. I know how it feels. I lost many love ones in my family and my friends too.

Arwah was laid to rest at the Tanah Perkuburan UPM just opposite the UPM Mosque.

May his soul is blessed. Amin.
