Hari Raya Aidil Adha @ MakLong Place, Keramat

We arrived at Mak Long's house almost 5.30pm. It was raining heavily. Adik and Irwan also arrived about the same time as us. Mak Long made Laksa Johor, Nasi Empit , Pulut Kacang, Sambal Kacang and Ayam Masak Ketumbar.

We had fun watching the video and I will make a copy for each family soon.
Later Mak Su and Pak Su joined us coming from Pak Su parents house not far from Keramat.
We had our Magrib and Ishak prayers there. The boys was commenting about the coziness of the prayer mat and also the beautiful carpet that lays underneath it. I told them the carpet is Expensive!

We stayed on until almost 9.30pm before we headed back to Serdang in the cold dark night.
Everyone was quiet in the car and so was I. Everyone was contented of the day's event.

Hari Raya Aidil Adha @ Maktok Place, AmanPutra

During the Hari Raya Aidil Adha, the boys and I decided to spent the early part of Raya with Maktok and the later part with Mak Long. We arrived at Maktok around 11am , quite late since Wa-e was on night shift the night earlier. Adik ,Irwan and also Mak Su and Pak Su was at the korban site.
The Soto was really delicious. Later I had a second helping!
Later we spent out time going through the photo album and also returning all the photos that I took from Maktok to scan.
When everybody was at the house, we watch the video that I made from the Hari Keluarga event at Port Dickson.
Maktok does not wish to follow us to Mak Long's house since she is waiting for Pak Ngah and family. Maktok packed us the daging korban, kuah kacang and nasi empit, and her unforgettable chocolate pudding in vanila sauce served cold.
By 3pm we are on our way back to Serdang to keep the daging korban in the fridge before heading out to Mak Long's place.

Visit from Mimie and Angkasa from Sandakan Sabah

The boys and I got a wonderful surprise when we got a call from an old friend; Mimie Sabah and Angkasa ( Mimie's husband). They were here in KL for the school holidays. Their daughter Liesha is so bubbly and cute; and intelligent too. I fried Keropok Ikan, Keropok sayur and Keropok Udang for the afternoon tea. I got nothing else to offer them since it was a surpised visit.

Later Mady and I took them out to dinner at Murtabak Singapore in Bangi and they seems to like the Murtabak Singapore too. Wa-e could not join us coz he had evening news to produce for TV1. We took a circle round the pasar malam, bought a few thing here and there. Then headed home. Liesha fell asleep in the car on our way home.

After putting Liesha to bed, Mimie and I had to do some cathcing up and updating about our circle of friends. We talked and talked and did not realised it is almost 2am!

It was almost mid day when they woke me up. They had to leave coz they have errands to run before leaving for Temerloh. Hugs and kisses for them and I wouldn't know when I will see them again. Hopefully soon.

Take care Mimie. I love you all.

Kak Ton and Abang Nik eldest son's Wedding at Cheras

It was a sunny Sunday afternoon and it just fit for a Garden Wedding. The boys and I went for Kak Ton( from FTMS College ) eldest son's Wedding held at their home in Cheras. It was also an occasion where I will be bumping to old friends from everywhere! The first I met was Trevor and family. Sean and Ema has grown! That shows I have not been meeting them for quite a while.

Then I met Azaari, then Saji, Magen and Daniel Ho. Also there were Auntie Fong and her sweet daughter which I have not met for quite some time. Then met Kumar and family. I also met Kak Fauziah with her daughter Kak Long and her youngest daughter too.

Saji, Trevor, Magen, Daniel and many more guest did the 'tepung tawar' which is a blessing ceremony and is almost compulsary ritual in all Malay traditional weddings.

Haiza, Kak Fuziah, Ranita, Poovei, Hazura, Azli, Ramli, Uncle Nagen and Raudah could not be found anywhere. Maybe they would come later. I was looking forward in meeting them here.

During the wedding ceremony, I gotto know the official photographer Mohd Erham or commonly known as Am. He seems to be working very hard to ensure he had the most coverage and every angle possible for a clear and best short of the couple.

Kak Ton as host were everywhere and so busy attending to guest and ensuring everything went smoothly. But I am sure everyone had a wonderful time especially on an unforgettable event like this one.

All the happiness in the world to both bride and groom from All of us in Serdang.
