Jongkong Dessert
I remember a dessert delicacies which Normah and Ita ( Kak Non previous maids ) prepared. In fact I vaguely remember helping them through the making process but could not distinctively remeber the ingredients well. I even called my sister kak Non hoping she could share with me the recipes but I think she was quite busy at that moment. So with the help of Mesra.net I got a few tips of making the dessert called " Jongkong". It has grated brown sugar with thick coconut milk which I steamed for almost 25 minutes.
I like to serve it cold. I let it chill in the fridge before serving. Mady loves it but Wae not so keen about this dessert.
Apple Cheese Tarts
Mady and I improvise our Apple tart recipe by adding cheese cream on top becoming Apple Cheese Tarts. It works. We use Philadelphia Cream Cheese and we add 60 gms of whipping cream too. We also use about 50 gms of castor sugar. Next time we want to replace the castor sugar with brown sugar coz it have more flavor compared to castor.

Little Neptune Cafe @ Mines Shopping Fair
I have been a frequent patron to this cafe since the 90s. I always addressed the owner as Auntie and Uncle. They worked in Australia before and later came back to Malaysia to settle down. I love their Fried Kway Teow and the Cantonese Kway Teow is wonderful too. I like to have it with cut chillies.
When we arrived, Uncle was taking a quick nap at the back of the Cafe. I took a snapped of him. He must be tired cooking the entire afternoon.
Will come back soon!
Delicious Cafe @ Bangsar
This is the time where Mimie and I will catch up with our lives. We are totally busy with our work that we hardly sees each other although our houses is just 10 minutes apart.
I accompanied him shopping at Fat Face boutique which is located on the first floor of the Bangsar Shopping Mall. And later, he drop me at Bangsar Putra LRT Station so that I could go back to work at Taman jaya PJ and he will continue shopping for English stuff at a new place in bangi. I have to find out more regarding this matter.
Thanks Mimie for the treat!
