Maktok and Najwa hit the Headlines!

Mady's 'Merisik' Ceremony Headed by Maktok and Mak Long 16 May 2009

Maktok Headed the 'merisik' ceremony with the assistance of Mak Long. Pak Su and Maksu, Adik Shahariah and Irwan, and Kak Shiela strengthens the delegations.

It made me so happy because Maktok does not differentiate Mady to any of her other grandchildren. She treated as if Mady was hers.

I would like to show my gratitude to those who have supported us in the event especially Maktok Hajah Salmah, Mak Long Rugayah, Pak Su Hasanol and Mak Su Yati, Kak Shiela, Adik Shahariah and hubby Irwan, also to Pak Ngah who called me the night before the occasion and wishes us with good blessing.

The boys were so glad that Pak Su and Mak Su, Maktok, Mak Long and Auntie Shiela all plan to spend a night at our place. For Adik Shahariah and Irwan, thi is the 5th time they are spending the night with us and we enjoy the closeness very much.

Mama Jane and Kak Ani Penang also show concerned and ask about the wedding plans.

And also to Mama Lang Zainon who cares to ask about the event when we met on the next day on Sunday morning at Kuala Lumpur Mosque.

So it is set the Nikah Ceremony would be held at Surau Taman Sri Serdang because there is where Najwa's mother has her Jemaah. During the Nikah ceremony is where there would be exchanges of hantaran ( 7 trays from the groom and 9 trays from the bride ). The Mas Kahwin set at RM80, a ring for the bride during the 'Batal Air Sembahyang' ceremony and the hantaran would be agreed later between the Mady and Najwa themselves.
The Wedding ceremony on the Bride side would be held in Alor Star Kedah.
While the Wedding on Mady's side will be held in Taman Muhibbah Serdang in early February 2010. I am going for a full pledged wedding ceremony with berinai, bersanding and also makan beradap.
I would expect many very busy days ahead!

Few of our family gather to celebrate Mother's Day together at the Istana Budaya Cafe on Sunday 10 May 2009. The families are Maktok, Mak Long, Adik Shahariah and Irwan, Mak Su and Pak Su, and Shareen and hubby.
