Bali Trip :Exploring Kuta - Popies Lane 2 - Legian Roas, Kuta Beach Road- Day 2

Today is exploration of Kuta town. From the Internet I found that, Kuta is administratively a district (kecamatan) and subdistrict/village (kelurahan) in southern Bali, Indonesia. A former fishing village, it was one of the first towns on Bali to see substantial tourist development, and as a beach resort remains one of Indonesia's major tourist destinations. It is known internationally for its long sandy beach, varied accommodation, many restaurants and bars, and many renowned surfers who visit from Australia. It is located near Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport.

Poppies Lane 2 is a popular place to stay, eat and shop in Kuta. The traffic is unrelenting because the alley is wide enough for cars to get all the way from the Beach Road to Legian St.

There’s a wide range of accommodation to choose from ranging from 30,000 a nite up to 375,000 rupiah.

Shops line both sides of the street and you will get a barrage of “massage?” “sunglass?” “rolex?” and you just have to be lighthearted and laugh it off if you are not interested. The salespeople are only doing their job so it’s best not to get aggravated.

Poppies is easy to find from Legion Street. Just past the Bali Memorial going with the one way traffic you turn right.

There is always a traffic jam at that corner so watch your feet that they don’t get run over by a motorbike or taxi.
