All of us went to Casa Tesoro at Mabini Street for fine handicrafts. Fahme bought 2 beautiful handbags for his mum and sis. While I bought a salad dip bowl.
Mabini Street plays host to Manila's most prestigious outlet for antique Filipino furniture. This is a three storey Deco-style mansion known as Casa Tesoro. It stands some hundred metres south of Padre Faura (still on the western side). The building houses a number of outlets. Prices are generally higher than elsewhere, but it is a great place to get an overview of the vast range of sumptuous antique furniture on offer in Manila.
The knick-knacks are nice and inexpensive. Must go place for treasure seekers.
